Anthony Sargeant went to pick Wild Garlic along the Shropshire lane close to his home and found this woodland carpeted with the yellow star-like flowers of Lesser Celandine. A magical scene
The lanes around the Shropshire home of Anthony Sargeant are full of snowdrops at this time of the year.
The English countryside is starting to come to life as Spring approaches. Around the Shropshire home of Anthony J Sargeant primroses are flowering in sheltered spots and some lanes have been carpeted with snowdrops for a few weeks. It will be good to get some more daylight as Spring approaches and some warmth into the soil.
This ancient Yew tree was photographed by Anthony Sargeant just off the foot path that runs along the top of Wenlock Edge in Shropshire, England. It has a diameter in excess of two metres and must have grown undisturbed in its remote location for hundreds if not thousands of years.
This splendid Shropshire sunset was photographed by Anthony Sargeant from his home in the Corve Valley at 4pm on the 14th December 2016. Looking out across the meadows that surround the house the outline of the ancient oaks that abound in the area can be seen silhouetted against the sky. It is a very quiet and beautiful part of the world with its ever changing seasons.
Anthony Sargeant took this photograph of the field opposite his Shropshire home during the harvest in 2015. Today, on a frosty December morning, it seems an age away. The view is from the dormer window of the main bedroom.
