Winter Sunset in Shropshire

Tony Sargeant took this photograph from his Shropshire (UK) home on the 21st December 2014 at about 5.30pm. All through the year there are wonderful skies up and down the valley of the River Corve where the house lies.

Mist across the water meadows

Anthony J Sargeant took this photograph from the bedroom window of his Shropshire home in the winter of 2014. The mists are still clinging to the water meadows as the sun rises over the Shropshire hills. Heavy rain over the previous few days has caused the River Corve to break its banks and flood the meadows.

March 2015 – Shropshire Landscape

It will soon be that time again! Lambs frolicking with ewes in the field across from the house. This photograph was taken by Tony Sargeant from his Shropshire home last year on a clear spring day in early march. It is a great privilege to live in such wonderful countryside but it does make it difficult to get to London for exhibitions, ballet, opera, theatre and concerts. The solution is a house near a fast train line to London – this has been bought within a few minutes walk of a mainline station – it will make life so much easier once the building work is complete.
